Create Your Own Blog

One man’s blog can be both fun and profitable. But you may be asking “Why a blog? Wouldn’t a website be better? Is a website or a blog the better choice?” To answer this question let’s examine the important characteristics of both.

1. Fees

Any good website will cost you. Even if you could get someone to design it at no charge (a questionable proposition), hosting is still going to cost you, at the very lowest, a yearly fee of $10 – $20 . But you can get a blog (including hosting) for nothing.

2. Setting up

Creating a website is difficult if not impossible for those who lack the necessary skills; and even given the proper expertise, it can take a long while to complete the task. A blog however, can be created quickly and easily. The method involves filling in a few fields; and it’s designed specifically for those who lack technical savvy. One mans blog can be set up in less than 30 minutes by someone with little or no Internet expertise, and still be as good as any website.

A first-class website can entail a month or more of work to create and put on the Internet. But it only takes a half hour or less to set up a Blog!

3. Making money

You can make some good money with a website through the selling your own or affiliate items. A blog can do likewise, and equally well provided it is marketed well. Any one man’s blog will do just as well as a similar website.

4. Aesthetics

You can have lots of interesting effects on a website such as videos and animation. Your blog spot by contrast may not be able to include all the high-tech stuff, though it has enough that it can be very appealing. Thus one man’s blog spot may not compete as far as being “showy”, but every bit as effective.

5. Maintenance and promoting

A blog may be continuously updated with fresh content. Thus blogging will draw more visitors compared to a website assuming the same effort is put into each. It’s simpler to add new content to a blog than to a website.

The blog is thus self-promoting itself, as every time there is an entry the search engines will index it again. But to promote a website necessitates a greater investment in time to draw visitors.

It looks like blogging is a good idea even for those who have professional websites up and running|Blocking is definitely worthwhile even if you already have professional websites|Whether or not you already have a website blogging is a worthwhile|Even for those who already have websites blogging is a great addition|Regardless of whether or not you already have a website, it’s definitely worthwhile to put up a blog|But what if you already have a website? It’s still very worthwhile to create a blog|To create a blog is a sensible thing to do even if you already have a website}. It’s not at all unusual to find a website the focus of one or more blogs that were put up to send traffic to the website.

Also blogging can be lots of fun since you can share your pictures and experiences and it won’t cost you a cent. Lots of those who started with a website eventually moved to blogging because it’s undemanding, cost nothing, and can be updated continuously.

So the question is not “Why have a blog?” but instead “What reason is there to not have a blog?” With so many benefits it would be foolish for anyone not to take advantage of blogging.
